An autonomous AI equipped landing craft is being developed to deliver social forces on top secret missions for the UK’s Royal Navy.
The Sea Dagger will be used by the country’s elite Commando force and will be able to carry a unit and their vehicles if required.
It is being developed under a programme titled UK Commando Force by UK naval architect company Leidos.
The contract is to build 24, 74km/h vessels capable of deploying Commando strike teams plus offer training and support.
Sea Dagger is a collaboration between Leidos , the Royal Navy and the Commandos.
The design has an in-house artificial intelligence package called Trusted Mission , autonomous systems and integrated weaponry.
Sea Dagger is designed to continue delivering its mission under stress, disruption or attack.
