Breast Is Best For Ice Cream Parlour
We all scream for ? breast milk ice cream?
Alongside the normal chocolate and strawberry flavours a London-based ice cream parlour is offering ice cream made from human breast milk.
However, not everyone is appreciative of the daring desert, with safety concerns having been raised about the unusual ingredient.
Icecreamists, based in Covent Garden, have named the £14 breast milk concoction 'Baby Gaga'.
It is made from breast milk that is blended with Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest before being churned into ice cream.
A special Baby Gaga waitress serves the tasty treat in a martini glass with a rusk on the side.
Some of the milk used in the creation of the desert was donated by Victoria Hiley from Leeds.
The 35-year-old provided 30 fluid ounces of milk - enough to make the first 50 servings - after seeing an advert on an online forum.
According to Matt O'Connor, the man behind the idea and also founder of campaign group Fathers For Justice, the women donors all undergo the same screenings carried out on NHS blood donors.
However, there have been some fears raised concerning the safety of the dish as breast milk can carry viruses such as hepatitis.
As such Westminster Council has confiscated all the remaining breast milk ice cream and sent it away for more rigorous tests.
A spokesman said the council was responding to two complaints from the public and awaiting guidance from the Food Standards Agency.
In response Mr O'Connor said: "We think it's the safest food in Westminster because we've tested it. All the milk has been screened in line with milk and blood donor requirements.
"We are in a street where you can buy alcohol, tobacco and other legal drugs - all of which can kill you.
"What Westminster is effectively saying is that breast milk is an even greater threat to public health than any of these legal drugs and on that basis breast feeding should be banned as should NHS milk ba

Ronnie Wood and girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova out and about in North London, Britain - 14 Oct 2008
It would seem that Ronnie Wood has made his mind up about which woman in his life he is going to stick with. While in rehab the Rolling Stone apparently told other patients that he couldn't decide between his wife of 22 years Jo and 20-year-old Russian girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova. However, now he's out of rehab the musician has been spending a great deal of time, and money, on Ivanova. The couple were seen out with a new accessory today in the form of a puppy bought from a Palmers pet store in Camden. According to reports Wood, 61, has been spending approximately GBP 10,000 a week on outings with the Russian waitress, splashing his cash on expensive gifts. Meanwhile, reports are split over what Jo intends to do about her husband. Wood had crisis legal talks last week with his lawyers to find out how much a divorce from Jo might cost him. However, despite reports that Jo had 'given up' on her errant husband she has recently commented that she doesn't want a divorce and would like a reconciliation instead.

Pat works in a cafe where she doesn't have to wear any special uniform. It's a hot and often exhausting job, but she keeps cool and fresh in a simple tailored frock in a linen weave rayon. She finds this material does not soil easily or crush and is simple to launder every week. The dress, though plain, is very smart and at the end of the day off comes the apron and she's ready to step out. Her little apron is plastic, in a deeper blue than her dress. This is coupon free and only needs sponging down to keep it spotless. She gains more good marks for her shoes which look practical with their smooth fit and wide heels to keep her smiling all day.
