'Sometimes I'll just stay up all night': meet the young designer Kwadjo Owusu-Ansah holding down a day job and making sateen caps with devil horns after dark
Kwadjo Owusu-Ansah hasn't even promoted his latest line of brightly coloured helmets, but 'the most amazing people are finding them'
Owusu-Ansah - who goes by the name DamnKojo professionally and works full time in marketing at a wine and spirits company - sees his fashion line as less of an up-and-coming label than an ongoing art project.

PETA Protest at Ministry of Defence headquarters, Horse Guards Avenue, Whitehall, London, UK.
19th January 2024
Bloodied ‘Bears’ to ‘Die’ on Ministry of Defence’s Doorstep After PETA Exposé of Bearskin Caps
A group of PETA supporters – dressed in little more than bear masks and covered in bloody “arrow wounds” lie sprawled on Union Jack flags as they hold a “die-in” near the Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) headquarters to protest its support of the slaughter of Canadian black bears for purely ornamental bearskin caps. The action follows a new PETA video exposé revealing how bears are baited with food, shot with crossbows, disembowelled, and dismembered by recreational hunters in Canada. This is the source of the fur used to make the King’s Guard’s caps.
It takes the skin of at least one bear to make a single cap. According to public records obtained by PETA, the MoD bought 498 bearskin hats between 2017 and 2022 – equating to nearly 500 slaughtered bears – even though PETA first offered the ministry a superior faux fur produced by luxury faux furrier ECOPEL in 2017, and ECOPEL has committed to supplying an unlimited amount to the ministry for free for 10 years.

Computer keyboards can now display some Christmas cheer — with a range of themed key caps featuring Santa, a snowman and a decorated tree.
The highly detailed resin models can replace conventional keyboard caps anywhere in the board for festive fun.
They have been created by US company Dwarf Factory.

A group of PETA supporters wearing little more than bear masks and lying on ÒbloodÓ-soaked Union Jack flags hold a bloody Òdie-inÓ at Marble Arch to protest the Ministry of DefenceÕs (MoD) support of the slaughter of Canadian black bears, whose fur is used to make the caps worn by the QueenÕs Guard. It can take the hide of an entire bear to make just one cap. The MoD frequently makes the claim that the bear pelts are the by-product of a ÒcullÓ overseen by Canadian authorities.
