The original inspiration was for families to bond together while they take the chill out of their bones in winter. In olden times that meant having a charcoal burning heater which later became an electric-powered one. The special pet version has been created by Japanese home goods store Dinos. Unlike a kotatsu for humans, this one doesn’t use a heater eliminating fire concerns. Instead, the blanket incorporates Dinos’ trademarked technology called Heat Loop. It is used in the brand’s bestselling line of bedding products, which promises built-in insulation and heat retention qualities.     Jake Chapman photographed outside the London Studios where he and Dinos base their practice.Jake Chapman is an English artist. Iakovos 'Jake' and Konstantinos 'Dinos' are known as the Chapman Brothers, who work together as a collaborative sibling duo. Their subject matter is often deliberately shocking, including, in 2008, a series of works that appropriated original watercolours by Adolf Hitler. In the mid-1990s, their sculptures were included in the YBA showcase exhibitions Brilliant! and Sensation. In 2003, the two were nominated for the annual Turner Prize but lost out to Grayson Perry. In 2013, their painting One Day You Will No Longer Be Loved III was the subject of Derren Brown's Channel 4 special, The Great Art Robbery. In 2014, they express their desire to open a tattoo parlour where they grew up in Hastings.
