Award-winning actor Ben Affleck has spoken publicly for the first time about estranged wife Jennifer Lopez — to praise her role in a new movie.
The 52-year-old star is a producer on the film, Unstoppable and is reportedly in the middle of a divorce from J.Lo, 55.
He appeared on the US TV show Entertainment Tonight with fellow actors Matt Damon ,54, and Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy ,48, to talk about their new film Small Things Like These
But the conversation later turned to Unstoppable based on the true story of disabled Arizona State University amateur wrestler Anthony Robles , played by Jharrel Jerome, who was born with one leg.
Lopez plays Robles’ mother Judy.
Asked about the movie by host Nischelle Turner, Affleck replied: “Jennifer is spectacular.”
He added that it was another example of the kind of films that he and fellow-producer and close friend Damon are “really really proud of.”

Self-exiled British royal Prince Harry has paid tribute in a personal call to an amputee serviceman unable to complete a triathlon challenge across Britain. Harry, 37, spoke in a Zoom call from the home he shares with wife Meghan Markle and their two children in home in Montecito, California to former Royal Marine Lee Spencer.Mr Spencer had planned to swim 22 miles, cycle 1,060 miles and hike 45 miles. He was forced to end his attempt earlier in August due to pain in his stump.Mr Spencer . from Devon in the UK, holds the world record for the fastest unsupported row across the Atlantic Ocean despite losing his right leg in a motorway in 2014 when he stopped to help another motorist who had broken down.He was hit by flying debris and lost his right leg on impact. He has since devoted his life to helping others and raising awareness of injured servicemen and women.Referring to the triathlon marathon, Harry told him in a discussion shared on Mr Spencer's Instagram page last : “You basically circled the whole of the UK and climbed two mountains.“Only after that, did your stump start to give you a few issues to the point where you had to pull out of the very last phase of it.“You put so much into this. I hope that you're really happy, I know you're not happy, but I hope that you feel really proud of yourself to have done what you've done.”
