Finding My Blue Sky, this group exhibition brings together over 20 major international artists including Lubaina Himid, Haroon Mirza, Laure Prouvost, Sean Scully, Otobong Nkanga, Simone Fattal, Hugh Hayden, Barbara Walker, among many others.
Framed as a “love-letter to London” from the curator, it will span across both Lisson Gallery spaces as well as its courtyards, windows and adjacent street corners where for example Himid is creating new murals.
There are twelve new commissions for the show, including works produced in and inspired by the local area, as well as very rarely seen historical works, several of which have never been exhibited in Europe before.
It features paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics and mixed media works, ranging in size from intimate works on paper to major paintings measuring over 3m tall, and large-scale outdoor murals.
