Son of Pink Floyd star vandalises war monument
Charlie Gilmour, the son of legendary Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour has apologised for climbing the Cenotaph during London's student protests. Charlie Gilmour today said he "would like to express his deepest apologies for the terrible insult to the thousands of people who died bravely for our country". He added he was "mortified" by his "moment of idiocy". The Cenotaph, in Whitehall, commemorates Britain's war dead.

They spent the day learning about the work of the organisation Straight Talking. The organisation, which has benefited from donations from their Wessex Youth Trust, works to tackle the UK's teenage pregnancy rate - the highest in Europe. It does this by getting young parents to act as peer educators in schools. Today the royal couple watched excerpts from the charity's 'parenting' lessons at Whitton School and Sports College in Twickenham, south west London
