An e-scooter that mimics the livery of the McLaren Eighties F1 car driven by GrandPrix legends Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna has gone on sale.

The machine is the fifth collaboration between McLaren and British-based high end e-scooter maker Pure Electric.

Dubbed the MP4/4, the minimalist vehicle mimics McLaren’s 1988 Formula 1 car design.

It was used that season by eventual champion, Brazilian Senna with Frenchman Prost coming second in the final standings by just three points.

Clad in colour-blocked red and white of the famous car, the slim two-wheeler boasts dual-sided panels for a comfortable stance with self-stabilising handlebars for increased control.

Pure and McLaren’s MP4/4 device features an upgraded 710w motor with a 31-mile range on a single charge.

The compact scooter is foldable for easy storage and carrying.

A Pure spokesperson said: “Recognised as one of McLaren’s most successful F1 cars, the MP4/4 e-scooter combines state-of-the-art technology with a speedy on-road feel. “

The machine is available for sale on Pure’s website for £999 GBP / €1.160 euros.

Supercar maker McLaren has joined forces with an e-scooter company to create a stunning machine in the firm’s famous colours.

British company Pure Electric has created a pair of special edition e-scooters with one sporting McLaren’s iconic Formula 1 payapa orange and another in a sleek, deep black.

The Pure company founder Adam Norris is also the father of Formula 1 and McLaren race driver Lando Norris.

The machine , called Pure X McLaren, is based on UK firm Pure’s Pure Advance+ model.

The scooters feature a powerful motor capable of pushing 710 watts of peak power for decent acceleration as well as strong hill-climbing ability.

The scooters have a 50 kilometre range, allowing for long periods between charging depending on use, as well as 10-inch puncture-resistant tyres.

The front-facing riding position is said to allow riders to take a natural, forward-facing stance, with feet apart for a “more stable and comfortable ride.”

A caterpillar track electric scooter for helping workforces get around off road terrain, has hit the market.

Called the Panzer, it is said to be designed to “conquer the toughest terrains.”

The machine is said to be good for an hour on full charge and capable of reaching top speeds of 15mph / 24 km/h.

It has been designed by US inventor Jonathan Jones who said he spent “years” on the project.

He said the Panzer can mobilise a workforce while minimising storage space required.

Safety is also a priority, with dual LED headlamps and a dual grip drive system that requires both hands to be on the handlebars to move.

His company, Texas-based Custom Robotics, plans to release attachment parts later this year for tool mounts, optional seat and carrying payloads.
