Tesla billionaire Elon Musk hit the bullseye — when he invited controversial US podcast host Joe Rogan to fire an arrow at the company’s forthcoming Cybertruck model.
Musk, 51, a guest on the Spotify podcast, said the truck, due to start deliveries in December, had a bullet-proof body.
To prove its strength, Rogan ,56, a keen archer, was invited by Musk to try and piece the vehicle’s body by firing an arrow at it for a $1 USD wager.
The pair went to an underground car park where the Cybertruck, which Musk had arrived in, was parked.
Rogan, wearing a blonde wig for Halloween, armed himself with a high tech bow and fired a steel tipped arrow from about ten metres into the body work.
The arrow bounced off, leaving a small dent in a rear door.
When Rogan investigated, the arrow head had broken off from the shaft and the tip was flattened causing Rogan to remark:” That’s impressive.”
The bet came about after Rogan asked about the eye-catching angular vehicle which has been many years in development.
