BIONIC TOAD
BIONIC TOAD - A vet at Tiggywinkles wildlife hospital in Buckingham has conducted one of his smallest operations fixing a fractured humerus bone on a toad. The toad was discovered in a back garden with a broken left arm by a member of the public. The hospitals vet Steve Smith, managed to repair the break with a tiny VetKISS locking plate and four 1mm screws in an operation that took over an hour. The post-operative radiograph showed the operation was a huge success. The toad will remain with Tiggywinkles for the duration of his recovery where staff can monitor the arm to ensure it is healing well before he can then be released back into the wild, along with his bionic new arm. Relentless calls and constant abuse: why Britains vets are in crisis
The average UK vet sees a new animal with a new problem every 10 minutesÕ: Gareth Steele with Mali the cat, photographed at his practice in Neath, South Wales.
Vets are no strangers to pressure, but Covid and the huge boom in pets means they have never been busier - or experienced so much stress.

FEATURE - Igel Alan wachsen seine Stacheln durch tägliche Massagen mit Aloe-Vera-Gel wieder
Staff at Tiggywinkles wildlife hospital have helped this young hedgehog regrow his spines with daily massages using Aloe Vera gel.
The juvenile hog, named Alan, was found near Haddenham, Bucks, in December last year. He was completely bald and weighed only 390g.
He was diagnosed with Ringworm; a fungal infection that causes Hedgehogs to lose their spines. After a 30-day course of Ringworm treatment he is now having daily aloe vera gel massages to ensure all his spines grow nice and healthy. He will be released back into the wild once he has all his spines back, and is a good size. 26/01/2022

Hedgehog regrows his spines with daily massages using Aloe Vera gel.

Relentless calls and constant abuse: why Britains vets are in crisis
The vet will see you now: Danny Chambers, a vet and mental-health campaigner who runs the Veterinary Voices Facebook group, which has more than 15,000 members. On the table is Zac the dog.
Vets are no strangers to pressure, but Covid and the huge boom in pets means they have never been busier - or experienced so much stress.

EXCLUSIVE. Coleman-Rayner
Los Angeles, CA, USA. May 14 2021
Nikki Reed is seen dropping her dog off at the vet. The star of The Twilight Saga stopped by a gas station to fill up her car and she used her daughter sweater to cover the hose, so she did not need to touch it. Nikki wore a brown sweatsuit, white sneakers and a beige baseball cap.
