Attempting to capitalize off of the extreme-right unrest in Chemnitz, the NPD neonazi party in Munich organized a rally at Munich’s Marienplatz- one of the most traveled areas of the city that sees tens of thousands of tourists daily. At least 450 showed up to oppose the demonstration, including a who’s who of Munich and Bavarian politics.
