NEWS - Alaska: Lachse in Bristol Bay durch Minenprojekt bedroht
The Pebble Partnership exploration camp pictured on September 4, 2019, marks the site of the proposed Pebble Mine at the headwaters of Bristol Bay in southwest Alaska, home to the world's largest sockeye salmon run. According to Canadian owners Northern Dynasty Minerals, the deposit area contains 80.6 billion pounds of copper, 107.4 million ounces of gold and 5.6 billion pounds of molybdenum with an estimated value of $400 billion.
