NEWS - London nach der Terror-Attacke
The UK's terror threat level was today held at severe as Londoners returned to work after Saturday night's barbaric massacre in the heart of the capital. Security chiefs decided the alert, which means an attack is highly likely, would not be raised in the wake of the attack on London Bridge and Borough Market. A Home Office spokesman said the decision had been taken by the independent Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) following the atrocity in which seven died and dozens more were injured.
Seven people died and dozens were injured after London again became the target of terrorism on Saturday night. Three attackers drove a white van into pedestrians on London Bridge shortly before 10pm before getting out and going on a knife rampage through Borough Market. Within minutes of police being called the terrorists had been shot dead by armed officers who discharged an "unprecedented" 50 bullets which inadvertently also injured a member of the public.
