Owners of vineyards in the Bekaa valley are focused more on Israeli air strikes than this year's vintage. How are these family-run businesses coping?

  • Zodiac Killer
    DUKAS_179387220_POL
    Zodiac Killer
Letter from the Zodiac Killers. The Zodiac Killer was a serial killer who operated in Northern California for ten months in the late 1960s. He coined his name in a series of taunting letters he sent to the press until 1974. His letters included four cryptograms, three of which have yet to be solved. The Zodiac murdered five known victims in Benicia, Vallejo, Lake Berryessa, and San Francisco between December 1968 and October 1969. Four men and three women between the ages of 16 and 29 were targeted. No connections between them have ever been discovered. They appear to have been victims of opportunity, nothing more. While it is often claimed that the Zodiac knew his victims, there has never been credible evidence to suggest this was true. Numerous others have been thought to be Zodiac victims, but the evidence is scant at best. The killer's identity remains unknown. (POLARIS) (FOTO:DUKAS/POLARIS)

    OJ Simpson Murder Trial Evidence
PHOTO TAKEN 1994 Nicole Brown Simpson lies dead in the entrance way to her home - Simpson is infamous for having been tried for the murder of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994. He was acquitted in criminal court in 1995 after a lengthy, highly publicized trial (sometimes called the "Trial of the Century" in America). In 1997, Simpson was found liable for their deaths in civil court, but to date has paid little of the $33.5 million judgment. He gained further notoriety in late 2006 when he wrote a book titled If I Did It, withdrawn by the publisher just before its release, which purports to be a first-person fictional account of the murder had he actually committed it (the book would later be released by the Goldman family). In September 2007 O.J. faced more legal troubles, he was arrested and charged with robbery using a deadly weapon as well as conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and coercion. • 'It's a sun trap': climate crisis brings boomtime for British wine

'It's a sun trap': climate crisis brings boomtime for British wine
UK vineyards are thriving as far north as Yorkshire and Scotland as investors cash in on tax breaks and hotter summers.

Westwell vineyard is on the site of a former monastery and sits close to the Pilgrims' Way on the North Downs, the historic route to Canterbury that runs along the top of the hill behind the vineyard.

The climate crisis led to the UK experiencing its second-hottest year on record last year, with rising temperatures creating increasingly ideal conditions for growing grapes in Britain. But extreme heat also threatens to devastate typical wine regions, such as areas of Spain, Italy and southern California, where harvests are predicted to plummet.
