    JACKSON'S TEMPORARY RESTING PLACE

Michael Jackson's body is currently residing in an exclusive marble crypt owned by Motown legend Berry Gordy, according to reports.

The King of Pop has still to be buried and his remains have been in the white marble crypt at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles since his memorial service on 7 July.

The singer and his gold plated coffin will remain there until his family decide upon a final resting place for the star.

Motown founder Gordy brought the crypt for his family, and it resides in the most exclusive part of the cemetery.

The mausoleum is marked with a distinctive letter G and a quote from Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book.

In a bid to deter fans attempting to find Jackson's body, these identifying marks have temporarily been covered over.

Two security staff have even been hired to guard the crypt after the location of Michael's remains were leaked.

Just where the later singer will finally be laid to rest is unknown.

According to reports his brothers wish to bury him at his Neverland ranch; however, his mother Katherine feels that he grew to dislike the central California compound after a police raid in 2003.

  • CEMETARY DAUBAN FAMILY, LA PASSE, SILHOUETTE ISLAND, SEYCHELLES
    DUKAS_07306986_FRI
CEMETARY DAUBAN FAMILY, LA PASSE, SILHOUETTE ISLAND, SEYCHELLES
Deserted cemetary. The Dauban family were the first settlers to arrive on the island, in the 19th century. Over the next few years they gradually acquired the whole island, and began cinnamon and coconut plantations that grew into thriving businesses, with 1,000 people living on the island by the 1950s. Unfortunately, a crash in the copra market at that time forced the family to mortgage the island. Subsequently, in 1960, the bank foreclosed, and a century of Dauban ownership came to an end on Silhouette. Now the Seychelles government owns the entire island.
