    Oct. 30, 2014 - Pilsen, Czech Republic - The bench of dissident turned president Vaclav Havel (1936-2011) in the Czech Republic, designed by architect and his friend Borek Sipek, was unveiled in the municipal Park and Garden Safarikovy sady, Pilsen, Czech Republic, October 30, 2014. The Vaclav Havel Bench, commemorating the first Czechoslovak post-Communist President Vaclav Havel, was unveiled as a place serving to have a rest and to remember him in Pilsen. Similar ''Havel's Places'' exist in Washington, Dublin and Barcelona. Architect, designer and Havel's friend Borek Sipek created a public artifact inspired by Havel's personality and democratic ideals.
