Israeli army combats Hezbollah in Lebanon
EXCLUSIVE: October 11, 2024 - Beide, Lebanon: Reservists of the IDF battalion 8207 entered southern Lebanon to combat Hezbollah militia members on the Jewish calendar holiest day, Yom Kippur. Israeli infantry and armored vehicles advanced northward inside south Lebanon, in the village of Beidei, spending two days capturing and clearing hostile Hezbollah strongholds. Opposition to the IDF is moderate to low, with Hezbollah militias not fighting and retreating towards Beirut and the Bekaa Valley. On October 9, IDF soldiers wounded 8 Hezbollah fighters and made one prisoner.
