FEATURE - Philippinen: Älteste Progeria Patientin mit 19 Jahren gestorben
August 16, 2016 - Bulacan, Philippines - (EDITORS NOTE: Image depicts death.) Ana Rochelle Pondare, 19 years old and the oldest living teenage affected by the rare ageing condition known as progeria died on August 10, 2016 and she will be buried in Bulacan on August 17, 2016. She is one of the three known cases of kids affected by this rare gene abnormality (also scientifically known as Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome) in the Philippines. Kids affected by progeria has lifespan of 13 - 15 years old but Rochelle's saga in battling this sickness was extended to four years with the help of surgeon Dr. Pierre Clero, Progeria Research Foundation, NGOs and private individual helping her (FOTO: DUKAS/ZUMA)
