Every £1 donated to the #Untapped appeal until 31st January 2018 will be matched by the UK Government. Photo Credit should read WaterAid / Ollie Dixon.

CEREMONIAL DIP
11 November 1949
It was not much like a Hollywood premiere but 'movie' stars - British ones - attended the official opening of a 'laundrette' in Lancaster Road, West london, today (Friday). The stars were Zena Marshall and Paul Dupuis.
The 'laundrette' - of which there are now several in Britain - is a recent American idea. Customers bring their washing with them, and it is done in the 'laundrette' company's washing machines.

Malibu, CA - Looking to take advantage of a bright sunny Sunday afternoon, Halle Berry and her sweet daughter Nahla play on the beach of Malibu. Halle and Nahla built sand castles, played in the sand and took a little stroll down the beach. Halle taught Nahla a few things about the ocean as she brought her along the water to point out a few things, like sea-weed which she took a liking too.

Halle Berry and Nahla have a California Beach Day
Malibu, CA - Looking to take advantage of a bright sunny Sunday afternoon, Halle Berry and her sweet daughter Nahla play on the beach of Malibu. Halle and Nahla built sand castles, played in the sand and took a little stroll down the beach. Halle taught Nahla a few things about the ocean as she brought her along the water to point out a few things, like sea-weed which she took a liking too.

Brazil Studies Show Impact of Climate Change
Trucks carrying illegal lumber refuel in Rondonia State, Brazil on Friday Dec. 2, 2005. The tropical forest is being deforest to crop soy.
On Nov. 6, 2006, Greenpeace released a detailed report about the impact of Brazilian climate change during United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP12) in Nairobi, Kenya. The report shows the relation between the destruction of the biggest tropical forest of the world, the Amazon Rainforest, and global warming. It also points out that climate change is responsible for the consecutive drought in the south of Brazil, for the increase of the intensity and frequency of twisters and cyclones, also in the south, and for the changes on the seasonal rains in northeast. To produce the report, Greenpeace gathered various statements from the victims of global warming, as well as Brazilian researchers. (FOTO: DUKAS/WORLDPICTURENEWS)
