Cats Transformed Into Glamour Pusses For Hilarious Calendar
We have seen calendars featuring purr-fect models - but this fashionable feline-themed calendar is the cat's whiskers.
The 2014 Glamour Puss calendar features pussy cats magically transformed into moggies fit for the catwalk.
But don't expect to see these chic cats on Britain's Got Talent, their poses were achieved with the help of computer trickery.
British publisher Maverick Arts employed photographer Paul Cocken to shoot the cats in a studio, before computer wizardry was applied to manipulate their poses.
Maverick MD Steve Bicknell explains: "The original studio shoot for Glamour Puss was by Paul, who told me he relies on lots of patience from the cat owners, coupled with gentle encouragement.
"But like most animal models they tend to respond best to food treats. Suffice to say, that is why September model Tinkaboo is pictured licking his lips at the photo session.
Explaining his other cat model choices, Steve says:
"Jess is the cat used on the cover as the 'Aristocat'. We love Jess cat because he has such amazing eyes.
"Boots is a very black cat, and your typical 'bad cat' which was perfect for nice and moody poses used for April , June and August.
"Donna, the owner of the white cat Kashmir, is quite glamourous herself. Her cat is extremely beautiful and I think owner and cat have the same colour eyes. Donna also owns 'Arty' who was our model for January and October."
Glamour Puss is GBP 9.99 and available online.

Streets Ahead: Amazing 3D Pavement Art
From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles escaping from the sewer at London's Southbank to a Royal Wedding in Sweden this stunning 3D street art is probably the best on the planet.
Thanks to skilled British artists Joe Hill and Max Lowry pedestrians have had a whole host of dangers to negotiate as they go about their business.
For the past eight years the talented twosome have brought their 3D art skills to pavements all around the globe - with jaw-dropping results - raging waterfalls, a record-breaking crevasse and the legendary Loch Ness monster.
Since Max tragically passed away in 2010, Joe decided to continue their work, keeping the name 3D Joe and Max in Max's memory.
His latest work includes a giant beanstalk bursting through the pavement to celebrate the release of Jack The Giant Slayer, which opens in cinemas today (March 22), extending The Solaris Building in Singapore by four levels and building a futuristic city for Motorola in London and Barcelona.
Not only do these incredible chalk drawings look realistic by themselves - but when passers-by jump into the scene they take on a life of their own.
Press Officer for 3D Joe and Max, Lucy Pratt said: "We usually use chalk to 'map out' the picture and then use paint after, the illusion is created through a camera lens.
"Sometimes an intricately detailed large-scale drawing can take up to seven days to complete, sometimes longer depending on the weather.
"Our standard size is 6 meters x 3 meters and these take, on average three to four days."
Their eye-catching creations are often creat...

Opening of the Royal British Legion Wootton Bassett Field of Remembrance, Lydiard Park, Wiltshire, Britain - 09 Nov 2010
Prince Harry ran into a spot of bother today while attending the opening of The Royal British Legion Wootton Bassett Field of Remembrance at Lydiard Park in Wiltshire. Cutting a dashing figure in his uniform the royal planted a Remembrance Cross in the Field, which is home to some 35,000 crosses, each with a dedicated message to commemorate the 342 men and women killed in Afghanistan since the conflict began in 2001. Harry also met service personnel taking part in The Royal British Legion March For Honour, which will see serving and ex-serving individuals from each of Her Majesty's Armed Forces march a mile for every lost life in the two conflicts. Prince Harry was given the job of starting the march, but it didn't quite go with the bang he expected. The claxon he was given in order to signal the start of the event backfired. Much to the amusement of the Prince and bystanders, rather than the expected loud squawk it instead let out a feeble peep and a cloud of smoke
