FEATURE - Das teuerste Lebkuchenhaus der Welt - nach dem Vorbild eines Dolce & Gabbana-Geschäfts
Pictures MUST credit: Debbie Wingham The world’s most expensive gingerbread house has been created — based on a Dolce and Gabbana store. The £3.1 million GBP creation was made to gift three loose pink diamonds worth just over a million pounds each, making this gingerbread the world's most expensive gingerbread house. The edible edifice m drenched in diamonds stands just under one metre tall and 75cm wide. It was created for Christmas by British designer and food artist Debbie Wingham, known for her giant intricate confection. Previous works have included life-sized cakes of reality star Kim Kardashian, and fashion designer icon Karl Lagerfeld. The gingerbread house features homemade marshmallows to create the snow scene. The edible details are a combination of ginger cookies which accounts for the architecture decorated with icing sugar, chocolate sprinkles and fondant. It took more than two weeks to make using 15 kilos of flour and more than 17 kilos of sugar. It was made for a private client inspired by the Dolce and Gabbana store in the upmarket resort of Puerto Banus, Spain. Pivture supplied by JLPPA

Alessandra Ambrosio picks up a Hungry Anja from School
Brentwood, CA - Alessandra Ambrosio brings her cute little dog to pick up Anja from school this afternoon. Alessandra's mini-me was all smiles as she carefully carried her gingerbread house but couldn't wait to get home to dig into it so she took a few bites while walking to the car.

MARIE ANTOINETTE, TRADITIONAL RESTAURANT, VICTORIA, CAPITAL, MAHÉ ISLAND, SEYCHELLES
"Marie Antoinette", the traditional restaurant is situated in an old gingerbread house. They serve traditional Seychelloise dishes, best to order in advance. The capital of the Seychelles, Victoria, is rather a large village with some extra large buildings. For instance the library is a gift from China. The center is l'horloge, the clock tower. An ugly copy of Big Ben, a present to the former colony. The real center and the center of life is the market. It was established during world war II by the British. The local fisherman and planters can sell their products directly. The peak day is Saturday from 6 o'clock in the morning.

OLD PLANTER'S HOUSE, LA PASSE, LA DIGUE ISLAND, SEYCHELLES
The beautiful old gingerbread houses are slowly disappearing. In the Seychelles there is no hunger and there are no slums. This old French planter's house on La Digue bears witness to better times on an island once rich in spices and copra. The roofs were once covered with hardwood shingle and palm-leaves. At the beginning of the 20th century corrugated-iron arrived in the islands and transformed the roofing style. (FOTO: DUKAS/MICHAEL FRIEDEL)
