Today's Happy Colors acrylic 3-D artwork
Art That Jumps Out of the Frame...Literally
A man has created a series of 3-D artwork that quite literally jumps out of the frame.

Yuki Matsueda's extruded artwork, called 'Escape', focuses on the subject of the image projecting away from the two-dimensional picture, which is then encompassed in acrylic.

Highlights include a smashed egg; an exit sign with the exit man running away; a pair of dice with the spots protruding from their white background and playing cards cut loose.

Like many artists, Yuki, 31, has drawn inspiration from the recent technology boom in 3D films and televisions.

The Japanese artist said: "My collection of art represents breaking free from constraints and everyday life.

"I grew up surrounded by art and when I was younger my parents owned a printing company and I started to print my own 2-D designs.

"It wasn't until I went to college I started to learn more about design and since then I have been producing pieces of three-dimensional work"

Yuki has recently graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with a PhD, where he studied the analysis of design, learning about three-dimensional and colour configurations.

He now plans to continue to break free from two-dimensional imagery and create new artwork depending on the future of technology.
