Anya Taylor-Joy révèle dans le talk-show de Drew Barrymore qu'elle se détend en cassant des choses
Pictures must credit: Drew Barrymore Show / Paramount + Queen’s Gambit actress Anya Taylor-Joy has revealed she de-stresses — by smashing things up. The 28-year-old Miami-born but British-raised star revealed she and her husband visited a break room. It’s a place where people can go to ket off steam by literally smashing things to pieces. She made her revelation on the Drew Barrymore US chat show where she was promoting new horror movie The Gorge. Her husband is US musician Malcolm McRae, 30, of rock band More whom she married in 2022. They share the same April 16 birthday. Talking about the break room to Barrymore, 49, Taylor-Joy revealed the pair decided to book in for a joint birthday treat. She explained: “It's like a room with a bunch of stuff and you get to pick your weapon of choice and you just go at it so we could break stuff . “It’s actually something that my husband and I found together because particularly as a young lady you're not really allowed to get pissed off. “There's not as much grace for that when you're a girl and I realised that I was very highly strung. “So we developed something called Fists of Fury where he would like grab a pillow and I would just go and like 20 seconds later you are a different person. “You feel so good ,so light . “And so for our joint birthday I took him to a break bar where you just grab stuff and you can pick the picture on the wall and just go at it.” Picture supplied by JLPPA

Des chercheurs développent des cafards cyborgs pour les opérations de recherche et de sauvetage dans les zones sinistrées
Pictures must credit: Mochammad Ariyanto Researchers are developing cyborg cockroaches for search and rescue operations in disaster zones. The insects were tested on an obstacle course of sandy ground strewn with stones and wood. Even in relatively complex environments that were unknown to the cockroaches, they were able to overcome obstacles and reach their target destination. Sensors that detect motion and obstacles were mounted to the cockroaches and were programmed to work alongside their innate abilities, such as climbing or wall-following. The small electronic circuits delivered navigation commands to the cockroaches when needed, but otherwise stayed out of the way, letting the insects avoid obstacles or recover from falls naturally. The insects already have some jobs lined up. They can inspect post-disaster sites that remain too dangerous for humans and can be used to identify rescue workers in hostile conditions. They can also be used to explore environments too small for humans, such as pipes or collapsed buildings. More ambitious goals aim to harness their ability to work in low-oxygen environments, facilitating their use in deep-sea or space exploration.? They are being jointly developed by teams from Osaka University in Japan and Diponegoro University, Indonesia Picture supplied by JLPPA

Polaris est un hydravion à propulsion hybride est en cours de développement par la société américaine Tidal Flight
Pictures must credit: Tidal Flight A hybrid-powered seaplane is being developed for short haul coastal and island hopping journeys. And the aircraft , called Polaris, has already taken letters of intent from eight operators representing orders worth over $650 million— even though only a sixth scale model has so far been flown. The plan is for a full battery-electric or hydrogen-electric powertrain in the long-term for zero-emissions operation as technology and infrastructure improve. US based company Tidal Flight, founded by three aerospace engineers with electric aviation backgrounds , is developing the Polaris as a modern, hybrid-electric seaplane that can carry 9-12 passengers with baggage capable of landing on both waterways and runways. Co-founder and CEO Jude Augustine said: “Seaplanes present the opportunity to provide direct, low-infrastructure access to city centres, remote communities, and coastal destinations. “Our aircraft brings a step-change reduction in operating costs and fuel burn to help bring that unique access to more people and more places with low to no emissions.” Picture supplied by JLPPA
