FEATURE - Lässt das Portemonnaie schmelzen: Die teuerste Glace gibt es bei Selfridges
It's enough to melt your wallet. Londoners can now buy the nation’s “most expensive ice-cream” for a cool £99 a cone. The Billionaire’s Soft Serve, on sale at Selfridges, comes complete with a gold-leaf coated flake and spoon. Each wafer cone, dipped in dark chocolate and coated in golden pearls, contains a dollop as big as your head and weighs in at 350g, about the same as an entire tub of shop-bought ice cream. Two hands are needed to hold it. Experts from ice cream brand Snowflake began making the extravagant concoctions to order this week at the department store in Oxford Street. They intersperse gelato with caramelised pecans and Belgian white chocolate truffles, and place a raspberry sorbet macaroon, fruit-filled pipettes and edible "diamonds" on top. PEOPLE - Vivian Westwood's Sohn Joe Corre verbrennt aus Protest "Sex Pistols"-Erinnerungsstücke
26th November 2016. London, UK. A Fire Service riverboat extinguishes a fire started by Joe Corre, the son of former Sex Pistol manager Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood as he burns his personal collection of Sex Pistols punk memorabilia on a boat in the Thames in Chelsea. Earlier this week Joe Corre said that punk has become nothing more than a "McDonald's brand ... owned by the state, establishment and corporations". His collection is estimated to be worth £5 million.

The U.S Customs and Border Protection has seized a huge shipment of marijuana that had been disguised as carrots.
The Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility intercepted the alleged 2,493 pounds of marijuana, which was concealed within a commercial shipment of fresh carrots.
?Once again, drug smuggling organizations have demonstrated their creativity in attempting to smuggle large quantities of narcotics across the U.S./Mexico border,? said Port Director Efrain Solis Jr., Hidalgo/Pharr/Anzalduas Port of Entry. ?Our officers are always ready to meet those challenges and remain vigilant towards any type of illicit activities.?

The Orbital Sciences Corporation Antares rocket, with the Cygnus spacecraft onboard, is seen on launch Pad-0A after the launch attempt was scrubbed because of a boat down range in the trajectory Antares would have flown had it lifted off, Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. The Antares will launch with the Cygnus spacecraft filled with over 5,000 pounds of supplies for the International Space Station, including science experiments, experiment hardware, spare parts, and crew provisions. The Orbital-3 mission is Orbital Sciences' third contracted cargo delivery flight to the space station for NASA. The next launch attempt will be made on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 6:22 p.m. EDT.

MEXICO: CHILDHOOD OBESITY
April 27, 2012 ¿ Mexico City, Mexico - Ubaldo Alexis Garcia Lopez, a eleven year old Mexican boy, attends a monthly consultation with doctors while being treated at the Federico Gomez children s Hospital in Mexico City for symptoms related to obesity. One year ago, Ubaldo weighed 169 pounds and was 145 centimeters tall with a BMI of 36,5. He was close to death and had to go to the emergency room where he was diagnosed with chronic severe obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea, Metabolic Syndrome X and acanthosis nigricans. Today he weighs 157,4 pounds and weighs 151,4 centimeters. He has a BMI of 31,1. He has reduced his weight with the help of doctors, a more balance diet and the use of a BPAP machine, which help treats his breathing difficulties. Ubaldo is a young student from a family living in Iztapalapa, one of the poorest areas in the Mexican capital. The poor in Mexico have a difficult time accessing preventive health care and education about unhealthy food. Obesity is a massive epidemic affecting countries around the world. Mexico has one of the highest obesity rates in the world, and public health officials are increasingly alarmed by the rapid rise in child and youth obesity. Mexico holds the first place worldwide in childhood obesity. About one-third of children in Mexico are now classified as either overweight or obese. There is also a high prevalence of obesity among the poor in Mexico. Photo credit: Benedicte Desrus / Sipa USA/sipausa.11143493/1205031401 (FOTO: DUKAS/SIPA)
