Amy Winehouse and her 12-year-old god-daughter Dionne Bromfield from Kent who has appeared in a YouTube clip singing with Amy
Soccer Six 2008, Millwall Football Club, London, Britain - 18 May 2008
Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is sticking close to her talented singing sensation god-daughter Dionne Bromfield - with whom she appears on a sensational YouTube video.

Amy, who called Dionne "better than I was at that age", was pictured with the Kent schoolgirl at the Soccer Six 2008 charity match on Sunday (18 May).

On the web video, Dionne sings an amazing rendition of Alicia Keys's If I Ain't Got You, while Amy plays backing guitar.

Dionne, who's being sponsored by her famous god-mother to go to a singing camp in America during the summer holidays, said after the five-minute recording: "It was great - she's a fabulous teacher. I don't care what anyone says about her, she's really good with me.

"It was Amy who wanted me to do the video. She keeps on saying she thinks I've got a really great voice."

Amy, 24, added: "She's better than I was at her age. She's got an amazing voice."

Prisoners escape from jail by removing toilet, Cocke County, Tennessee, USA - 27 Dec 2016
Six prisoners escaped from jail on Christmas Day by removing a toilet from the wall and climbing out of the hole behind it in Tennessee. The inmates wrenched off a stainless steel toilet that had vunerable rusted pipes and the bolts holding the unit had rusted out. They took their "window of opportunity" at around 1.30am Christmas morning at the Cocke County Jail Annex, east of Nashville, as there was prior damage to the concrete surrounding the unit due to plumbing repairs. Inmates John Mark Speir and Steven Edward Lewis were captured hours after the prison break. A third inmate, Eric S, Click, 29, was captured late on Monday afternoon. The three suspects unnacounted for were John Thomas Shehee, 28, held on charges of arson, criminal tresspass and theft, Harce Wade Allen, 28, who was being detained for violating probation and David Wayne Frazier, 54, accused of aggravated robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon. Police described them as potentially dangerous.

Currently unnamed and unsexed, the youngster was born in January as part of Chester Zoo's endangered species breeding programme. Silvery gibbons are endangered in the wild.

The family can be viewed in Chester Zoo?s new Islands habitat which opened last year and is the largest expansion in UK zoo history.

Islands provides a showcase for all of the vital conservation work the zoo carries out in South East Asia and is helping the zoo to significantly increase the amount of money it spends each year on conservation in the wild.

Six beetles photographed mating at the same time, Seruyan, Indonesia - 13 Apr 2011
This group of six beetles was photographed while all mating at the same time on a spiral-shaped cucumber stem. Amateur photographer Nordin Seruyan captured the rare leaf beetle scene as he snapped away at insects in a field. The 34-year-old was able to get the fleeting moment on camera before the self-conscious creatures became aware of his presence and flew away. Nordin, from Seruyan, in Indonesia, patiently waits for hours in order to photograph interesting insect behaviour close up in their natural habitat. The father of two said: "I was in a local field and saw one pair of the beetles so moved closer to take their picture. "It was only when I was a few centimetres away that I saw there were actually three pairs of the creatures. "I took my moment and managed to get a quick photograph before they noticed me and flew off. "I felt very lucky because to capture a pair of insects mating is quite common but to get so many together like this is extremely rare."

Star Wars fan covers body in 14 tattoos featuring characters from all six films, Swindon, Wiltshire, Britain
STAR WARS FAN FEELS THE FORCE WITH 14 TATTOOS

In a galaxy not so far away one Star Wars fan has taken his love of the films to a whole new level - covering his body with tattoos of his favourite characters.

In total, amateur Jedi Knight Luke Kaye has 14 tattoos featuring iconic figures from all six films.

Images of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, C3PO and R2D2 all jostle for space on his back.

They lie alongside Darth Maul, a Tusken Raider, a stormtropper, a Gamorrean Guard, and Admiral Ackbar.

Meanwhile, dedicated Luke, from Swindon, also has other Star Wars related tattoos on his arms and legs.

In order to amass the collection the 42-year-old has had to endure over 100 hours in the tattoo artist's chair.

Luke's first ever tattoo was of Yoda and he has gradually add more inked characters over the past five years.

And he has no intention of stopping anytime soon, with plans for more characters to form a sleeve on his one arm.

He also wants to have full-size spaceships inked down his sides.
He comments: "They take a very long time but I think it shows my love for Star Wars that I have sat through so many painful hours.

"I have to pluck up the courage to keep going back but I will not stop until I am happy - I am nowhere near finished yet".

One person who is not a fan of Luke's body art is girlfriend Debbie Mawer, 27.

Luke comments: "She does not like them. I try to sneak off and get them done on the sly.

However, he adds; "To be fair, she is fantastic. When we met she had seen only seen one of the films, but I changed that very quickly.

"Debbie quickly realised how big a part of my life Star Wars is. She loves me for me and she is hooked herself now".

A greyhound and an owl have formed a bizarre friendship at an animal centre, Ringwood Raptor and Reptile Centre, New Forest, Hampshire, Britain - Aug 2008
In the classic childhood rhyme it is the owl and the pussycat who are best friends, but in real life it's the owl and the greyhound that are the best of buddies. Six-month-old dog Torque has become adoptive father to a tiny baby owl called Shrek after the youngster was taken away from her mother for her own protection. Shrek was born at the Ringwood Raptor and Reptile Centre in Hampshire's New Forest but was taken away after she hatched because it was feared that her inexperienced mother may eat her. Now the greyhound and his feathered friend spend their evenings together watching Eastenders and Coronation Street, with Shrek safely snuggled up to Torque. And when they venture outside an ever watchful Torque closely guards the youngster. Tame Shrek will eventually be used at owl displays and open days and John believes her interaction with dogs and humans from an early age is ideal training.
