March 20, 2024 - Patagonia, Argentina: The route is like life and the difficult things just have to be overcome. The good things often lie just around the next bend. Let's be grateful by acknowledging what we do have this moment, let's feel present, right here, right now. I am grateful for being in this uniquely beautiful country where I've connected with the dignity of the locals, their passion for life, for evolution, dance, the art of flirting all aspects of existence and for the openness this country has offered me as an opportunity in my life. Thank you Argentina! (Maro Kouri/Polaris) (FOTO:DUKAS/POLARIS)

March 18, 2024 - Iguazu, Argentina: A little Guaraní girl plays in the traditional M'bororé village of her tribe, near the Falls on the Brazilian side of Foz do Iguaçu National Park. The village of M'bororé is inhabited by the indigenous Guaraní, who once inhabited the vast expanses of the South American jungle, from the Amazon basin to nearly the mouth of the Paraná River. It is made up of various ethnic groups, united by a language of unique beauty, the cultivation of the land, and a worldview directly connected to the jungle. Their customs, fishing and hunting methods, legends, and language have survived to this day. In the last government's Argentina, inequalities widened drastically due to severe cuts and austerity measures. The percentage of the population living at or below the poverty line rose to 57.4%, about 27 million citizens. Public spending has been reduced by about a third, particularly in the areas of health, social security, and education. The Indigenous people in Argentina, many of whom live in the northwest region of the country, have been treated as second-class citizens by their country for centuries. Tech giant Microsoft has delivered an early Christmas present to fans — an ugly seasonal sweater featuring wallpaper from its Windows XP software.
The scene, called Bliss, features rolling green hills, a blue sky and white fluffy clouds.
The image was captured by Charles O’Rear in 1996 and sold as a stock photo before being purchased by Microsoft in 2000 and made the default wallpaper for Windows XP.
The sweater even includes the addition of a mouse pointer hovering in the image
A bright blue trim around the cuffs and hem is said to be a nod to the signature bright blue taskbar of the operating system.
Microsoft says: “It looks good on a monitor, but better on you.”
Proceeds from each sale go to ecology saving organisation The Nature Conservancy.
The cotton and acrylic sweater package also includes some Bliss-inspired wallpapers for a buyer’s desktop or phone.
A spokesperson said: “Step back in time to the era of Minesweeper, Internet Explorer and low-rise jeans by purchasing your favourite Windows XP wallpaper, Bliss.”
The garment is being sold by the company’s Xbox Gear Shop for $70 USD / €64 euros.
