HMS Queen Elizabeth conducts a night Replenishment At Sea (Fuel) (RAS(F)) with RFA Tidespring on 21 June 2021.

The night RAS took place whilst HMS Queen Elizabeth and the wider Task Group took part in operations in the Mediterranean Sea.
HMS Queen Elizabeth is the deployed flag ship for Carrier Strike Group 21(CSG21).
CSG21 will see the ship along with the Strike Group work with over 40 countries from around the world. The Strike Group will operate and exercise with other Countries Navies and Air Forces during the 7 month deployment.
The Strike Group includes ships from the United States Navy, The Dutch Navy, and Marines from the US Marine Corps. As well as UK Frigates, Destroyers two RFA supply ships and air assets from 617 Sqn, 820 NAS, 815 NAS and 845 NAS. The E-3 is an airborne warning and control system aircraft with an integrated command and control battle management, surveillance, target detection and tracking platform. It provides an accurate, real-time picture of the battlespace to the Joint Air Operations Center. The AWACS provides situational awareness of friendly, neutral and hostile activity, command and control of an AOR, battle management of theater forces, all-altitude and all-weather surveillance of the battle space, and early warning of enemy actions during joint, allied, and coalition operations. The United States Air Force has operations all over the world and enlisted photographers are there to capture the action.
The service's specialist Airman magazine has curated the most impactful imagery from 2013 for a special issue entitled 'Year in Visuals'.
As would be expected, the gallery features awesome images of aircraft, but there are also personal military stories including a striking image of Capt. Candice Adams Ismirle preparing for cancer radiation treatment, while Staff Sgt. Ron Blodgett is shown in tears as he embraces his son after returning from a deployment in Southwest Asia.
