This August's full moon, known as The Sturgeon moon is a Supermoon, the first of four this year, is also called a Blue Moon as it is the third full moon of an astronomical season that has four full moons. The term Supermoon refers to a new or full moon that occurs when the moon is within 90% of its closest approach to Earth.
