LEAPING LEMURS! IT'S A BABY
Keepers at a zoo on the Isle of Wight are jumping with joy after the new arrival of a baby lemur.
Crowds of people have flocked to catch a glimpse of the super cute youngster ever since it was born at the Amazon World Zoo Park in Sandown last month.
And the as yet unnamed baby has proven to be a real crowd pleaser - even making a show stopping arrival into the world.
Members of the public were enjoying the brand new Lemur Walkthrough at the zoo when the little lemur decided it was time to greet the big, wide world.
The unique walkthrough allows animal lovers to get up close and personal to the Ringtail and Red Ruffed lemurs that live in the new exhibit.
However, the people trying out the new attraction got more than they bargained for when ringtail lemur Hira decided to give birth to her baby right in the middle of the path.
And after its dramatic entrance into the world the newest member of the lemur clan - which includes mum Hira, dad Tim and female Pepsi - has proven to be anything but shy.
Clinging happily to mum the little lemur is more than happy to soak up all the oohhs and aahhs that come its way from its adoring public.

HMS Ramsey, Faslane Naval Base, Scotland, Britain - 11 May 2011
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Michael McGurk / Rex Features ( 1342314a )
A Royal Navy warship that was made from plastic rather than metal to avoid triggering mines set sail to the Gulf from its base at Faslane Naval Base.
HMS Ramsey was made from glass-reinforced plastic so can get near mines where other Navy ships cannot.
The 600-tonne Sandown class minehunter is used to clear safe passages as it does not send out the signals that metal vessels do.
It is heading east of the Suez Canal, where it will stay for four years.
