Il découvre l' harmonica dans les années 1960 en écoutant des artistes de la mouvance folk et rock (Bob Dylan, les Rolling Stones). Un voyage aux États-Unis lui permet de se confronter au blues américain, et il se lance véritablement dans sa carrière musicale vers la fin des années 1970 . Il obtient alors une première reconnaissance comme instrumentiste accompagnateur, jouant pour de nombreux artistes, principalement français : Yves Montand, Eddy Mitchell, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Maxime Le Forestier, Barbara, Charles Aznavour. Sa virtuosité lui permet d'aborder des styles différents, allant du blues au jazz comme Stevie Wonder à ses débuts, en passant même par la musette (Albert Raisner), et d'autres formes de musiques populaires.

The Javari Valley reserve, which was set up in 1998, is home to 6,000 indigenous people from eight tribes, who share its dense, hilly forests and sinuous rivers with 16 isolated groups. Indigenous leaders say the “isolados”, as they are known, are more threatened than they have been in decades – with heavily polluting gold mining barges entering rivers to its east, cattle ranchers encroaching on its southern borders, and commercial fishing gangs venturing deep into its centre. Keeping tabs on their wellbeing is vital.

Johnny Miller has used drone technology to take an aerial view of the divide in standards of living between the poor and the wealthy.
His work highlights how the manicured suburbs of the middle classes sit only several hundred metres away from the ramshackle shanty towns of the poorest members of society.
An example include a God's-eye view of the picturesque suburbs looking out onto the glistening waters of Lake Michelle, 20km from Cape Town?s city centre.
