Horse Who Tried To Board A Train Welcomes New Arrival
A horse who shot to fame after being spotted trying to board a train has welcomed a new arrival.
Ruby shot to worldwide fame earlier this year after CCTV footage emerged of her owner Joe Purcell trying to board a train with the white pony in tow.
The pair were also spotted in a local pub in Wrexham as well as visiting the A&E department of the local hospital.
Following the incident Ruby, who was expecting at the time, was taken into care by the RSPCA due to fears over her welfare.
Now her new owner Michelle Crowther is celebrating after the mare gave birth to a healthy white, brown and black colt.
According to Michelle, Ruby is proving to be a very good mother to the as yet unnamed two-week-old and is very protective.
She said: "He's very shy at the moment because Ruby is very, very protective and she's telling him to be cautious all the while and pushing him behind her so he's safe".
Speaking about the new arrival Michelle added: "He's really pretty with a lot of white on him and has an interesting quirk in that one set of eyelashes are black and the other set are white".
