Ania Magliano: 'I have quite a lot of jokes about men being violent. There's a dark undercurrent'
The comedian Ania Magliano has turned her traumatic experiences into an Edinburgh comedy awards-nominated show - with a little help from a Thai boxing retreat and a botched haircut.
Audiences for the 25-year-old's latest set, I Can't Believe You've Done This, will hear all about her forays into boxing, woven into a complex tale of personal reconstruction. Nominated for best show at the Edinburgh comedy awards, it’s deceptively lighthearted.

The Young Ones star on butting brick walls, the real reason he took a role in Star Wars and how he and his wife, Jennifer Saunders, split the gardening.
Adrian Edmondson is a 66-year-old actor, writer and musician. He has appeared in anarchic TV comedies The Young Ones and Bottom, and latterly in 2017's Star Wars: The Last Jedi and as Scrooge in the RSC's 2022 production of A Christmas Carol. He has recently completed his autobiography, Berserker!, and next month starts a podcast, Out to Lunch With Ade Edmondson, where he interviews a celebrity guest over a meal. Edmondson lives with his wife, Jennifer Saunders, mainly in Devon.
