A playground designed specifically for pensioners has opened in a park in north Manchester.
The "Older People's Play Area" in Dam Head Park, Blackley is the country's first for the over-60s.
It features six pieces of equipment to keep senior citizens fit by strengthening hips, toning legs and training the upper body.
The local residents' association got the idea to set up the facility after being inspired by a similar playground in Germany.
It cost £15,000 to build and was paid for by Northwards Housing, who said they were "delighted" to support the scheme.
Joan Fitzgerald, chair of the Dam Head Residents' Association (DAMRA), said it was "great fun."
"I'd recommend anyone to come and have a go, after all you're never too old to play," she said.

Moldova Transdniester Unchanged Since USSR
A boy and old woman sitting in a broken bus stop in Ribnita, Transdniester on Friday, April 27, 2007. Poverty in Transdniester is widespread. Transdniester, a narrow strip of land sandwiched between Ukraine and Moldova, broke away from the Soviet Union just before the USSR collapsed. Officialy it is part of Moldova but after bloody civil war in 1990 it proclaimed its independence. Its independence is not recognized by any country in the world. Presently Transdniester is a living museum of life in USSR. It is also well known as a hotbed for international organized crime. (FOTO: DUKAS/WORLDPICTURENEWS)
