AMERICAN TROOPS IN CEREMONIAL MARCH THROUGH LONDON

For the first time since 1917 US troops paraded through London when they marched from Grosvenor Square to the City of London to a lunch at the Guildhall with the Lord Mayor.
Headed by a band, three hundred US troops and twenty marines in full ceremonial dress were cheered by London crowds along the entire route of their march.

Photo Shows: the processaion along Cannon Street with St Pauls Cathedral (now exposed to views since surrounding buildings were destroyed in air raids) in the background. Lining the street is a guard of honour of London firemen.
