She claims she was "stressed and tired" when she used her car to mow down pedestrians "like bowling pins" on sidewalks close to the Planet Hollywood location where the Miss Universe contest was taking place. She had her three-year-old daughter with her in the car at the time and told police she was "stressed out" because she was living in her car at the time. Jessica Valenzuela died after being struck by her car and an 11-year-old child was among the injured. Holloway gave herself up to police shortly afterwards and has been charged with murder with a deadly weapon and held without bail.

A man and his son have been arrested on suspicion of raping their daughters in the northern Italian city of Turin.

The father reportedly kept his daughter captive in a dark room for 25 years, sexually abusing her, while his son was allegedly encouraged to imitate him.

Details of the 34-year-old woman's horrific ordeal were released by police at a press conference following the arrest of the 63-year-old man and his son, aged 41.

In a case that echoes that of Germany's Josef Fritzl detectives said the woman's ordeal began when she was just nine.

They said that although she once managed to escape and tell police, but her father convinced them she was ''disturbed".

Reports in the Italian media say the first victim, given the pseudonym "Laura", is now having psychological treatment.

Detectives said the woman's brother had also sexually abused his own children, aged six, eight and 12.
